Planning the Destination
Texas GPS provides a variety of workshops and forums for parents, educators and service providers, to ensure that participants walk away with knowledge and ideas that keep them on the right path of success. Topics include government benefits, transition planning, guardianship, special needs trusts, ABLE accounts, and long-term planning for the child with special needs.

Navigating Public Benefits
Texas GPS works to help you recognize and understand which public resources may be available to your child with special needs. More importantly, we can help you apply to access these benefits, including SSI, Medicaid and Medicaid waiver programs.

Mapping the Right Journey for Your Family
We help families make the right turn as the child transitions from childhood to adulthood, addressing issues such as independent living, employment and attaining a meaningful community life. We also provide resources so that families can identify how to fund the child’s adulthood.

Our Team
Teresa Center
Coordinator
Teresa brings her expensive knowledge of disability rules and resources to help families apply for SSI. Teresa has a Masters degree in Social Work from UT Arlington and has over ten unique years of hands-on disability field experience. She has completed the Social Security exam for representatives. She has worked with SSI clients for four years and has represented over 100 families. Teresa has previous experience with the CLASS Medicaid waiver program and has worked and volunteered at Camp Summit and numerous other organizations.
She has pursued her passion for people with special needs since age 18. She is pleased to be able to offer SSI assistance and fill a need in the special needs community.
Tresi Moore Weeks
Founder
Tresi Moore Weeks is an attorney and founder of The Weeks Law Firm, PLLC in Plano, Texas, where she assists clients with estate planning, special needs planning, special needs trusts, probate and guardianship. After 11 years as a trial attorney, she opened her own estate planning law firm 17 years ago. As an advocate for her own child’s special needs, she is passionate about helping families with loved ones with special needs.
